Catherine Fiehn – Professional Photographer

​

Catherine Fiehn is a professional photographer with more than twenty years of experience. Known for her editorial style and keen eye for detail, she has become one of the Northeast’s most sought-after social event photographers.

​

Her work has earned international recognition, including awards for commercial portraiture and the title of “Creative Photographer of the Year” twice from the Connecticut Professional Photographer’s Association. She is also the recipient of the prestigious Gemini Cup for creativity in photography.

​

Catherine serves as the official photographer for many major pageant systems and scholarship organizations. Her work regularly appears at top-tier events such as Miss America, Miss USA, Miss Universe, and New York Fashion Week. Her images have been published in renowned outlets including Vogue Sweden, Supermodels Unlimited, Kid Model Magazine, Child Model Magazine, Teen Model Magazine, Fourpoints, and official publications for both the Miss America Scholarship Organization and Miss USA.

Her photography has also been featured on billboards in New York’s Times Square and Macy’s Herald Square, Los Angeles’ Intercontinental Building, and in Reykjavik, Iceland, as well as on major television programs and networks such as Wicked Fit, Chopped, Oxygen’s Hair Battle, and Dr. Phil. Recently, she has photographed winners of America’s Next Top Model, American Idol, and The Voice for SU Magazine, in addition to reality personalities from My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, Bravo, and Lifetime.

A graduate of Sacred Heart University with a B.S. in Media Studies and Graphic Design, Catherine is also professionally trained as a makeup artist. Beyond photography, she is a former Connecticut state gymnastics champion and a certified scuba diver.

On a personal note, Catherine recently married Eric LeStrange at the top of the Empire State Building. She enjoys cinema, travel, and diving, but above all, treasures her role as mother and personal manager to her actress/model daughter, Mary Kate Malat. Catherine herself has appeared on television and film projects including 30 Rock, Amazon’s Sneaky Pete, Orange Is the New Black (as an inmate), and IFC’s improv series Z Rock alongside Dee Snider and Joan Rivers. She has also been featured on The Nate Berkus Show, Dr. Oz, and in First for Women Magazine.
